About ADM Netherlands
ADM Netherlands, employing more than 550 people, is a leading processor of oilseeds. In Europoort, ADM operates a facility that crushes soybeans. In Amsterdam, we have a commercial office for specialty food and feed ingredients and a specialty ingredients production site.
ADM acquired the soybean crushing plant at Europoort in 1986, and expanded its presence in the harbor in 2004 with the acquisition of a bulk terminal that enables us to unload vessels containing more than 100,000 tons of crops directly into barges, trucks and trains. At Europoort, ADM produces meals and refined oils used in feed and food applications. ADM also produces soy protein concentrates for animal feed applications that are sold and distributed around the world.
ADM markets a variety of specialty food ingredients – particularly soy protein isolates, soy concentrates, texturized soy products, soy lecithin and xanthan gum – from offices in Amsterdam to customers throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
In October 2014, ADM completed the acquisition of WILD Flavors GmbH, one of the world’s leading suppliers of natural ingredients to the food and beverage industry. In the Netherlands, WILD Flavors operates a production site in Amsterdam. With over 40 years of experience of working with fruit juice concentrates, the Amsterdam site delivers fruit juice concentrate blends and flavor systems to its customers in EMEA.
ADM’s specialty feed ingredients business, based in Amsterdam, is the regional center for technical and animal nutrition expertise. ADM is one of the largest manufacturers of the amino acids lysine and threonine for the region of Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
